Useless and stupid

This is a required text for a class I'm taking. It's a waste of money. What's sound (the basics on skinner, piaget, etc ad nauseum) is already in every other education textbook and the technology segments are dated, frequently wrong, and assume you are mentally retarded.

Does anyone really need to be told what a keyboard is? For 2 pages? Book also has a profound Microsoft bias and seems to openly deny that anything else exists.

Avoid, if possible.

This type of learning should not be taught with a traditional textbook, anyway. This particular one suffers from poor layout, way too many colors, and fonts that strain the eye.

if you need the myeducationkit access code, buy the text at a bookstore

This is the only lesson I learned from this textbook-purchasing experience: textbooks sold through Amazon or other third-party vendors often do NOT come with valid access codes for the online tools some professors (like mine) require.
I had a brand new, unused code come along with this book (as you can see by the Amazon description, "with myeducation kit") and ended up communicating with the book publisher's technical support crew for way too much time just to figure out that Amazon gave me an invalid code for the book. Apparently this happens frequently with third party vendors.

Mukunda Rao is a professor of English and has been teaching in Bangalore for the last 31 years.He has participated and presented papers in several seminars on wide-ranging subjects such as Gandhian philosophy of social action and non-violence, Ambedkar, culture and politics,communalism, spirituality and religious harmony, and has been associated with organizations involved in the area of social justice and human rights. Among his previously published works are Confessions of a Sanyasi (1988), The Mahatma-a novel (1992), Babasaheb Ambedkar: Trials with Truth (2000), The Other Side of Belief: Interpreting U.G. An early transmission but a more recent publicaion

This book was transcribed from early conversations following UG's "calamity." His calamity is how he described the biological mutation of every cell in his body resulting in his entire thought system being completely purged from his system. Following that he experienced no thought at all and only needed to speak if spoken to. This book goes into that and much more as those questioning him attempt to understand what can only be described as un-understandable within the contex of the egoic based self centered mind. According to UG there is only one question and one answer. To continue to question means that we did not truly hear the answer. If fact, all questions are the same question and all answers that do not put an end to all questions are not answers at all but just the on going process of asking the same question over and over again. In my mind, such questions are merely the on going reincarnation, if you will, of the same question until we eventually tire of asking and hear the one amd only answer that we have been avoiding all along.

Darlene Ortiz is widely known as the first cover girl of rap. Her poses for such seminal Ice T albums as Rhyme Pays and Power made her a Hip Hop icon. She also starred in multiple music videos and modeled in dozens of magazines. She co-hosts a radio show with comedian Corey Holcomb that boasts thousand of listeners. Ortiz is a fitness instructor, songwriter and can claim acting on her resume, starring in a scene with Denzel Washington in the film Ricochet. Heidi Siegmund Cuda is an Emmy Award winning producer and the author of The Ice Opinion with Ice T, the first book of rap. She also wrote Got Your Back with Tupac’s bodyguard Frank Alexander; Sublime’s Brad Nowell: Crazy Fool (Portrait of a Punk); and Warped Book: Tales of Freedom and Psychotic Ambition, about the Vans Warped Tour. Book was ok. It doesn't really tell many compelling stories and Ms. Ortiz does not seem to want to reveal a lot of specific details. Overall, I wouldn't recommend unless you were really a fan of Ms. Ortiz.

Darlene's Kindness and Elegance

What i liked the most about the book is the Kindness and Class of Darlene. She had some hard time, yet through all her ordeal she maintained a noble attitude, never felt any resentment or bitterness against the man who basically turned his back on her and for no reasons. A Star like 'Ice T" most other women would sue him or take him to the cleaner. Darlene is elegance and class
The book was very well written. It was easy to read, understand, and felt like a conversation between 2 friends. The kindness that reflected did touch my heart. The book size and soft cover was light and easy to carry. I liked very much the large print; i could read without my glasses.

Heidi Cuda integrated all the characters in a smooth and kept the reader engaged at all times.

It was fascinating reading the story of a Star and how he got there.

An Excellent Guide to Living a Quality Meaningful life

I very much appreciate this Author and have just started reading this book and am so exited about the content and the potential for my learning more in depth about what it is to be a Taoist. Eva Wong is the REAL thing. This lady researches deeply and is a scholar plus she lives what she writes.

I think to engage meaningfully in this book, one has to have an idea of what Taoism is. She has a previous book that she wrote entitled: Taoism: An Essential Guide. I read that one cover to cover. As I hear, Taoism for Dummies is also pretty good!

By reading Eva Wong's books, I feel like I have a teacher through her books and through the thoroughness, the depth,, the fullness, the integrity of the information and the user-friendly format that she imparts in her writing. But it is study. If you want to expand in depth and widely your relationship with being a Taoist, this is the book for you.

She also has many other books related to Taoism.

I also suggest, before you delve in, make sure you are ready for the book. Check it out on Amazon: the table of content and some pages to make sure it pulls you in and to make sure you are ready for it. It is with great pleasure that I give this recommendation!
